Reiki is a hands on natural healing technique using the "Universal Life Force" energy to heal.
Reiki is a Japanese Word - Rei meaning, spiritual or universal
- Ki meaning. energy or life force
This energy is known as "Prana" in Sanskrit, "Chi" in Chinese, "Life Force or Divine Energy" in English and is the energy of Love and Light.
Reiki as a method of healing allows us to use this Universal Energy of love and light as a way to facilitate healing.
The person facilitating the healing acts as chanel for the Universal Energy by opening up to it, allowing this energy to flow through them to the person who is to receive the healing.
Reiki is generally a hands on method of healing. The facilitator's hands are placed on or above various positions on the body of the person receiving the healing, to transfer the Universal Energy. Often the chakra system is the basis for the hand healing positions. Also, the Reiki practitioner uses intuitive guidance in this healing process.
Only pure light and love from the Highest Source is channelled during a Reiki session. No negative energy passes on to the recipient or picked up from the recipient.
Reiki's healing powers are not limted in anyway and can, if the choice is there (on part of the recipient), facilitate spontaneous healing. The benefits of Reiki are numerous and varied.

We choose the road we are going to travel. We pack our bags full of hope for a safe journey. We are filled with excitement and anticipation for the fun that we intend to have along the way.
However, along the way we may decide to take a detour- for various reasons. The view in another direction seems to look interesting. Or we just get tired with being on the same highway we are on.
At some point/s throughout our journey we may decide to stop and take a rest.
At another we may forget to refer to our map and get lost. Or we had read the map incorrectly and had gotten lost.
In those moments we may need to ask for directions and get help from a guide. Pehaps, get a reading or help in interpreting our map to see where or how we got off our track- along our journey.
Our life's journey is much the same as any journey. We have our own map that we need to follow to reach the destination we seek. We can get diverted from our path and sometimes even get lost. These are the times we may need help and guidance to get back on track and continue the journey we have chosen to be on.
Confidentiality
All sessions are private and confidential.
As a Reiki Master and Counsellor I am bound by a Code of Ethics.
Limitations to this confidentiality apply if there is an immediate or specific risk of harm to an identifiable person (client or other).
Privacy
All personal and private information received from clients remain confidential and shall not be share with other parties.
The exception of this is where the client gives their permission. In cases such as the purchasing of (but not limited to), services from Awaken Within where some personal information such as credit card details need to be forward to complete transactions. No other unnecessary details will be forwarded.
How Reiki Works
Experiencing negative emotions , feelings and conduct can be part of our daily life. The problem is not these experiences but rather that we often store these experiences within our physical structure.
If these feelings and emotions are not released they will store in the body and over time they act as poison to the body and can lead to illness and disease.
Reiki acts to clear and release any stagnant or 'negative energy' that is being stored in our body. Reiki also works to balance and align the chakras and can cleanse our aura.
Counselling
Elizabeth Conway, a qualified Counsellor works at a highly professional standard and you/the client are assured of a totally safe and confidential environment.
She is fully committed to her client's wellbeing
She works with the client in achieving the client's personal goals. The client sets the agenda for each session with the counsellor helping to facilitate the desired outcome, for wellness.
A variety of counselling tools may be used in the sessions
These key tools can help in transforming disempowering patterns of thinking/being into actions that are empowering and enhance the welbeing of the client's 'Self'
Counselling can assist with -
Child Counselling / Reiki
A child can benefit from Counselling and or Reiki sessions. if they show any of the following signs professional help for the child"s well being may be needed.
Elizabeth Conway is also a highly experienced teacher who has had extensive experience and success with childhood behavioural issues.
Bio - Elizabeth Conway
In my first life (career) , I was a primary school teacher. I remember saying to my students one day, that when I was at school I couldn't wait to leave and not have to do anymore learing. What I found out , when I did leave, was that you never stop learning.
I discovered through my teaching that I also love learning and the process of learning.
Upon leaving school, I gained my Teaching Degree, then my Graduate Diploma in Educational Management, I now have a Post Graduate Certificate in Counselling and have earnt the title of Reiki Master.
I continue to constantly educate myself and am currently involved in a life study of Spirituality.
I am married to Robert, my soul mate and my friend. I have 3 wonderful children, Lisa, Tahnesha and Bob and children-in-laws. I also have an adorable grandson-Omar. I love being in love and married. I relish the role of mother and of grandmother.
Having my Reiki Masters, gives me the opportunity to use my skills to facilitate self healing with my clients through my business "Awaken Within". I love and feel honored working with my clients in their self discoveries. Whether it is knowing how to better handle their life, to learning to love themselves unconditionally.
I believe that magic is possible ~ the ability for the magic of your dreams and wishes coming true (transforming into miracles). Miracles that appear to be unbelievable made believable.
I have had a life of challenges and of miracles.
